Michael Meltzer - Film Producer
Michael Meltzer is an established Hollywood producer. He has
producer a dozen feature films working within the Hollywood Studio
system and in the independent production world. A few of his film
credits include the youth comedy UP THE CREEK, the science fiction
classic THE HIDDEN, STEPHEN KING'S "SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK AGAIN...
starring Hillary Swank.
Meltzer has a diverse creative background, having produced horror
genre, dramas, comedies, science fiction and musicals. He has worked
with actors Barbra Striesand, Hillary Swank, Treat Williams, Eric
Roberts, Theresa Russell, Dolly Parton to mention a few.
His development experience is extensive having developed screenplays
with some of Hollywood's most successful writers from the academy
award winning writer Ron Bass, Academy Award nominated writer Dan
Petrie Jr, National Treasure writer Jim Kouf, .....David Goyer among others.
Early in his career Meltzer worked at ICM and William Morris talent
agencies.
Teaching along side Meltzer will be the talented and inspirational producer James Davis
James Davis began his career working in the construction trade building
custom homes in northern California in the mid seventy's. Because of
Davis's experience and some good contacts in the film industry, Davis
was requited to join the film industry.Thru his ability to manage
finances, Davis moved quickly into the production side of film
production.Some of Davis films that he produced and production managed
have been "The Principal" staring James Belushi and Louis Gossett
Jr."The Grass Harp" Starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. In the
mid eighties Davis had an opportunity to move into Television
production, line producing Television Series and long form
Television. Some of these projects include "Beauty and The Beast",
"I'LL Fly Away", "The Last Don" and "James Dean-An Invented Life."
Davis's extensive experience has given him the opportunity to know the
film and television business owning his own Production Rental Company
to also having a very successful Motion Picture catering Company.
Davis has been nominated for the Peabody Body award for "I'll Fly
Away"
and won that award and also won the Directors Guild Award for
the same series. I am sure if you are looking for someone to give you many experiences of the film industry you will learn many things that will help you in your career joining the Film Industry.
